Laser hair removal at The Laser Lab is designed to be as comfortable as possible. We work with two advanced laser systems, the Soprano Titanium and GentleMax Pro Plus, both featuring technologies that help protect and cool the skin during treatment.
Most clients describe the sensation as warmth, tingling or a brief snapping feeling rather than pain. Sensitivity can vary depending on the area being treated, your skin and your personal pain threshold. We continuously adjust the treatment to keep you comfortable without compromising effectiveness.
Most clients need around 6 to 9 treatments for optimal long-term hair reduction.
Hair grows in different cycles and the laser is most effective when a hair is in its active growth phase. This is why several sessions are needed. The exact number varies depending on the treatment area, hair colour and thickness, skin type, hormones and your individual hair growth.
During your consultation, we will give you a personalised indication of what to expect.
Yes. At The Laser Lab we work with both the Soprano Titanium and GentleMax Pro Plus, allowing us to safely treat a very wide range of skin tones.
Instead of using one standard setting for everyone, our specialist assesses your skin tone, hair type and treatment area and selects the most suitable technology and settings for you.
Laser treatment works best when there is pigment in the hair, which means very light blonde, grey, white or red hair can be more difficult to treat effectively. We will assess this during your consultation.
Laser hair removal provides long-lasting to permanent hair reduction, but we prefer to be realistic rather than promise that every single hair will disappear forever.
After completing a treatment course, most clients experience a significant and lasting reduction in hair growth. Any hairs that remain or return are often finer and lighter.
Hormonal changes, age and other factors can sometimes stimulate new hair growth later in life. An occasional maintenance treatment may therefore be recommended.
Yes. Your first consultation at The Laser Lab is completely free and without obligation.
It includes a personal assessment with one of our laser specialists. If suitable, you can also experience a complimentary trial treatment, so you can feel what laser hair removal is like before deciding to start a treatment plan.
We start by getting to know your goals and assessing your skin and hair.
Your specialist will look at your skin type and the colour, thickness and density of your hair. We will also discuss your health, medication and anything else that could influence treatment.
Based on this assessment, we recommend the most suitable laser technology and create a personalised treatment plan.
If appropriate, we can also perform a complimentary trial treatment on one underarm, giving you the opportunity to experience the treatment before committing.
And of course, there is plenty of time to ask questions.
We reserve approximately 25 minutes for your free consultation and trial treatment.
This gives us enough time to properly assess your skin and hair, discuss your goals, explain the treatment and answer your questions without rushing.
Almost any area with unwanted hair can be treated.

We treat women, men and LGBTQIA+ clients and always adapt the treatment to your body,

Treatment time depends on the area being treated.
A small area such as the upper lip can take around 10 to 15 minutes, while larger areas such as the legs or multiple combined areas can take 45 to 60 minutes or longer.
Our advanced laser systems allow us to treat both small and large areas efficiently without rushing your treatment.
You can find the expected treatment time for each area on our pricing page and in our online booking system.
Yes. In fact, shaving is the recommended method of hair removal between laser sessions.
You can shave whenever necessary. Avoid waxing, epilating, threading or plucking, as these methods remove the hair root that the laser needs to target.
Don't worry if you notice hairs appearing after your treatment. Some of these hairs are actually treated hairs gradually shedding from the skin.
Yes. We offer treatment packages for clients who want to complete a full laser hair removal course.
Packages are available for a variety of treatment areas and combinations. They are designed to make completing your treatment plan easier and offer better value than booking every session individually.
Our specialist can help you choose the package that best suits your goals.
Yes. Our packages offer a lower overall price compared with purchasing the same treatments individually.
Because laser hair removal normally requires multiple sessions, a package can be an attractive option if you already know you want to complete a full treatment course.
You are always free to start with an individual treatment first if you prefer.
No. We believe pricing should be clear and transparent.
The prices shown on our website are the prices for the treatments described and include VAT.
Before starting a treatment or package, we will explain exactly what is included.
The only additional charges that may apply relate to things such as late cancellations or missed appointments, as described in our terms and conditions.
Yes. Please shave the treatment area approximately 24 hours before your appointment.
This leaves the hair root underneath the skin intact for the laser to target while removing hair above the skin.
Please do not arrive with freshly irritated or damaged skin. For areas that are difficult for you to shave, feel free to contact us beforehand and we can advise you.
No. Please avoid waxing, epilating, threading or plucking the treatment area for approximately six weeks before starting laser treatment.
These methods remove the hair from the root, while the laser needs that root and its pigment to effectively target the hair follicle.
Shaving is absolutely fine and is the recommended method between treatments.
We recommend avoiding intentional tanning, sunbeds and significant sun exposure on the treatment area for at least 10 days before your appointment.
Although our technology allows us to safely treat a wide range of skin tones, recent tanning can change the amount of pigment in your skin and therefore influence the safest and most effective laser settings.
Always tell your specialist if you have recently been in the sun or if your skin tone has changed since your previous appointment. We will assess whether treatment can safely go ahead.
Your skin can be slightly more sensitive immediately after laser treatment.
For the first 24 to 48 hours, we generally recommend avoiding:
We also recommend avoiding sunbeds and significant direct sun exposure on the treated area.
Your specialist will give you personalised aftercare instructions after every treatment.
Yes. Protecting your skin from UV exposure is important throughout your laser treatment programme.
For areas exposed to the sun, we recommend applying a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily, particularly in the days and weeks around your treatment.
Good sun protection helps protect the treated skin and reduces the risk of unwanted pigmentation.
Yes. Mild redness, warmth or small bumps around the hair follicles can be a normal temporary reaction after laser hair removal.
For most people this settles relatively quickly, although every skin reacts differently.
Keep the area cool, hydrated and avoid unnecessary friction or heat. If you experience a reaction that feels unusual, becomes painful or does not improve, contact The Laser Lab so our team can advise you.
You can book your appointment directly through our online booking system.
